Fernvale Lane 5-room HDB

This entire HDB was renovated with a consistent neutral palette, creating clean and calm vibes. The spacious foyer features a mirrored storage concealing the DB, with an illuminated display niche display. Together with the open kitchen, these two spaces are demarcated by wood-accented fireburn homogeneous tiles. Enveloping the kitchen stands a bar counter with Quartz cladding top and side face, serving as a quick to-go snack space. The dining area is customized with a settee bench with overhanging pendant lights in rose gold, beside the full height TV console and storage display in complementing colours. All the wooden doors were painted using Frenchic paint, which is odourless, natural, non-petroleum based, eco-friendly with no VOCs added.  

Telok Blangah 4-room BTO

This BTO was designed primarily in natural hues of gray, cream and wood tones, with a contrasting dash of bold blue, resulting in a stylish yet homely apartment. Soothing yet contrasting floor tiles in shades of gray and cream in herringbone design creates a welcoming inward flow from the main door. A full height feature wall behind the TV console was customized in dark wood laminate finish consistent with the rest of the wooden furniture in the living room and dining area. Similarly, the kitchen, clearly demarcated by the different tile design, was done up in a lighter wood shade, contrasting against India Black Granite surface top and blacksplash. Burmese teak parquet were installed in all 3 bedrooms for a softer feel. In the master bedroom, a L-shaped full height casement wardrobe was created with a dresser enclosed. The work / music room overlooking the living room is kept modular for future-readiness, and its half height glass wall create a larger spatial area by allowing more sunlight along the corridor. A pole bar was installed in the last room for the Lady of the House. Both bathrooms were installed with tempered glass swing doors and their existing floor and wall tiles overlaid with black tiles.  

Bukit Batok 4-room HDB

Calm and pleasing 4-room HDB with a welcoming entryway in a myriad of gray pastel tones. The delivery and post men will not miss the unit number with the bold juxtaposition of light gray laminated main door and black laser cut accented metal gate. A full height shoe cabinet with laminated casement door panels was customized, and new black powder coated aluminium top-hung sliding door panels system provides privacy beyond the hallway. The kitchen underwent a thorough overhaul – existing kitchen cabinetry was dismantled and a new kitchen entrance was created for better flow. Kitchen cabinets were constructed with Caesarstone Quartz work top in Snow, against glass backsplash, to give the kitchen a clean and tidy image. Full height pantry storage cabinet lined the other kitchen wall, fitted with BLUM soft closing runners for ample storage space. The owners chose to emphasize the common bedroom with a full height L-shape laminated casement door wardrobe fitted with a practical niche at one end, doubling up as bedside table.

The Glades

Dark hues and wood tones turn this 2 bedroom apartment into a comfortable yet sophiscated abode for a high-flying bachelorette. A painting specialist was consulted to decide that a dark purple wall would be perfect to complement this painting specially indented from Barcelona. In the living room, a full-height dark-wood laminated storage feature wall was constructed to hide the TV when not in use. A sliding ladder running on tracks was added to reach the upper storage with ease. An elevated platform bed with flip-up storage solutions underneath was customized for the master bedroom, along with a half-height bedside table with 2-way sliding doors for hair dryer and phone charger.

Woodlands Crescent 5-room HDB

This cosy Scandi-minimalist 5-room HDB appeals with a cohesive mix of simple features and wood tones that amp up its rustic warmth. In the living room, an eye-catching herringbone floor was created using light timber-lookalike tiles to brighten up the apartment. The apartment’s original balcony was merged with the living room to allow more daylight in. At the entrance, customized shoe cabinet doubles up as a feature display with a column of perfectly flushed shelves beside a full height storage cabinet with monolithic concrete-effect doors. The one-of-a-kind dining table was  handcrafted from a slab of raw Saur wood with distinctive swirled grain sanded down to achieve its elongated rectangular profile. A special cantilevered section was designed as part of the kitchen counter to serve as a secondary dining zone and welcomes one to the striking monochrome kitchen of graphic tiles and glossy finishes. Muted blue subway tiles as backsplash make a standout feature. The MBR’s entrance was extended outwards and installed with a sliding door to create a smooth flow of traffic from the outside to the walk-in wardrobe that was customized with vanity equipped with power sockets and drawer slots.

Gentle Dental

ZLC had a chance to create a tranquil yet functional interior as part of Gentle Dental clinic’s makeover. The clinic was transformed into a cosy space filled with simple welcoming features that work together to alleviate patient anxiety. A gentle palette was chosen for the treatment rooms to create a calming environment. Universal Design concept was applied through the use of textured floor tiles and construction of a dual-height counter. ZLC also complied with the necessary renovation codes, such as doors with lead lining.
