The Crew

Our small team packs a punch.

Tony Yeoh

The Father / Founder / Chief Project Manager

Tony is one of the original founders of Z L Construction, known as Chin Leong Trading Company back in 1968. He studied Chemical Engineering in Singapore Polytechnic but curiosity led to him picking up the ropes of construction.

Decades of toiling in the tough renovation industry has honed Tony to be an exceptionally experienced contractor and project manager, establishing some strong camaraderie with his long-term partners and co-workers. With knowledge accumulated over the years at the tip of his fingertips, he is able to describe almost all construction procedures in detail with great accuracy.

Rather risk-aversed, Tony has always preferred to earn just sufficient to put food on the table for his family’s needs. Despite his largely traditional and conservative mind-set, he has been very receptive and supportive of the new ideas and initiatives brought forth by his son, Jake. The company’s results and accomplishments are testaments of the father and son’s trust and respect for each other.

Tony is a Buddhist and vegetarian. During his free time, Tony enjoys playing with his grandchildren and mastering Chinese calligraphy.

Jake Yeoh

The Son / Director

Jake graduated from the School of Design & Environment, National University of Singapore, with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Building.

Jake is an adjunct lecturer at BCA Academy, a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and WSQ ACTA trainer.

With his accreditation as a Universal Design (UD) Assessor, Jake strives to integrate UD principles in every project and constantly explores forward-looking initiatives in space saving technologies.

Jake takes pride in leading the team to complete projects on schedule and within budget.

As a father of two, Jake has limited free time, which he spends surfing the WWW for ground-breaking technologies and sparring a game of Winning Eleven on the PS4.

Lewis Chee

Design Consultant

A designer by training, Lewis has an eye for colours, and is creative and bold in his approach to ID. He has a Specialist Certificate in Interior Design at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and has a special interest in non-cookie cutter interior design and colour matching.

When Lewis is chilling at home with his wife and young children, you will probably find him brewing a good pot of Chinese soup or model kitting to soft music.

Ryan Liu

Project Manager

An engineer by training from the NUS School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Ryan is the man to go to for commercial and industrial projects at Z L. His 2.5 years of experience in a statutory board previously had honed him in a range of skills including project coordination, cost management, project scheduling and manpower allocation. Ryan is also both an approved asbestos surveyor and an accreditated Project Safety Supervisor.

Ryan enjoys exploring new technology and gadgets. And when he is not in the queues for the latest iPhones, he is enthusiastically engaged in his Lego blocks conjuring up ideas for the next customer.

Vincent Lim

Manager (Creative Craftsman)

Having spent a decade handling critical planning and operational roles, Vincent strongly believes in the importance of good work ethics and timeliness of delivery.

Accreditated as a certified craftsman since coming onboard, he hopes to bring value to his clients by improving the standards and quality of woodworking at ZLC.

Being an avid photographer, Vincent spends his time capturing beautiful images of families, especially children. Z L’s clients can expect having him to capture beautiful memories of their newly renovated home.

Vincent graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and is a father of two lovely children.

CJ Yeoh

Assistant Project Manager

Cheng Jin (CJ) graduated from the School of Engineering (Mechanical) at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Since his time as a Senior Project Engineer in the defence industry, CJ has started pursuing accreditation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and hopes to give his Dad and Brother the support they need in this aspect.

When he is not at work, CJ’s hands continue to busy with his modular and figurine toys. CJ has been curating ideas for his new home and eagerly looks forward to creating his own idyllic abode.

Cindy Leong

Design Consultant

Cindy graduated from First City University College (formerly known as KBU international college) with BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design. As a designer, Cindy has a strong sense of aesthetics, she hopes to bring her passion for art, creativity and design into interior designing.

Cindy is also a music lover and likes to strum her favourite guitar and compose songs in her free time.

Wayne Ho

Assistant Creative Manager

With 10 years of experience in the building industry under his belt, it is no surprise that Wayne’s keen interest in architecture and design kept the passion for the work going. Currently undergoing the Interior Design Certification course at NAFA, Wayne also hopes to pick up more core skills and knowledge of the trade, and believes that the fusion of technology with architectural designs will be the way in the future.

You can also try to catch Wayne in his other passion: reading; and most probably in particular on automobiles

Lufieres Chew

Drafting, 3D Specialist

A graduate from BCA Academy in the Diploma of Construction IT, Lufieres aspires to be part of the Sustainable Design movement within the construction industry. He believes that a carbon-free earth managed by Artificial Intelligence is within the near future.

While he has a solitary interest in history and culture, his interest in philosophy and western cooking has also garnered him a large network of friends to hang out with and host the occasional feasting.

Nuri Irfani

Drafter & 3D Artist

As a graduate of Singapore Polytechnic in Architecture with a few years of experience in the architectural industry, Nuri dreams of one day building the ultimate hotel for cats. She likes to stare at well-designed buildings and interiors and marvel at wonderfully constructed staircase riser details at the bafflement of her family members.

People often mistake Nuri for your everyday cat-loving Malay neighbour next door. They are almost always surprised to know she is a nerd in many aspects. She squeals at new technologies, enjoys coding and always needs great restraint from emptying her pockets to buy the latest games.

But when she isn’t working or helping Corvo get his revenge on Daud in the virtual world, Nuri can be found either reading a good mystery thriller or endlessly hugging her fluffy cat.

Eileen Khoo

Special Projects Champion

As the ‘think-tank’ of Z L, Eileen is also the administrator, the HR, the coordinator, the ISO controller, and the lead coordinator with external parties. When she’s not working, she is still the administrator, the coordinator, the Mum-controller, and the lead coordinator at home.
