Tony is one of the original founders of Z L Construction, known as Chin Leong Trading Company back in 1968. He studied Chemical Engineering in Singapore Polytechnic but curiosity led to him picking up the ropes of construction. Decades of toiling in the tough renovation industry has honed Tony to be an exceptionally experienced contractor and project manager, establishing some strong camaraderie with his long-term partners and co-workers. With knowledge accumulated over the years at the tip of his fingertips, he is able to describe almost all construction procedures in detail with great accuracy. Rather risk-aversed, Tony has always preferred to earn just sufficient to put food on the table for his family’s needs. Despite his largely traditional and conservative mind-set, he has been very receptive and supportive of the new ideas and initiatives brought forth by his son, Jake. The company’s results and accomplishments are testaments of the father and son’s trust and respect for each other. Tony is a Buddhist and vegetarian. During his free time, Tony enjoys playing with his grandchildren and mastering Chinese calligraphy.

Jake graduated from the School of Design & Environment, National University of Singapore, with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Building. Jake is a Chartered Building Surveyor (RICS), an adjunct lecturer at BCA Academy, a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and WSQ ACTA trainer. As a father of 3, Jake appreciates and strives to integrate child friendly principles in every project and constantly explores forward-looking initiatives in space saving technologies. Jake takes pride in leading the team to complete projects on schedule and within budget. During his free time, Jake enjoys keeping fit and doing free-hand sketch on his Ipad Pro.

As the ‘think-tank’ of Z L, Eileen is also the administrator, the HR, the coordinator, the ISO controller, and the lead coordinator with external parties. When she’s not working, she is still the administrator, the coordinator, the Mum-controller, and the lead coordinator at home.

Athan is a designer with residential experience having honed his craft in an architectural firm previously. Today, he specializes in workplace designs for an array of commercial clients curating their offices and retails spaces.

Benson graduated with an Advanced Diploma and BsC in Construction and Civil Related Management. An analytical experienced individual with great passion in project construction, he has a “Can Do” attitude, and is always hungry and ready to strive for 101%.

Lewis has honed his design senses through many years of work experience. As a loving father of 3 and a family-oriented man, he also truly understands and appreciates the value of practical, yet aesthetically pleasing home designs. During his free time, apart from cooking with his family, he does indulge himself in listening to music and work on his plastic modelling.

A graduate of Nanyang Polytechnic’s Games Development diploma course, Athirah is also keenly interested in Interior Designing. Joining Z L has given her the exposure to creating 3D elements and honed her skills in interior design. She has a passion to design homes that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also practical for all. Depending on her feel at the moment, Athirah could be typing out short stories or blogging, creating digital art or reading manga when she is not at work.

Marcus graduated from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, where he earned his degree in Building and Property Management. As a Quantity Surveyor, he believes in being meticulous and curious to avoid unnecessary mistakes in his work. Quite the introvert, Marcus is not inclined to idle talk, but prefers to handle stress internally rather than sharing it with others. To unwind, he enjoys badminton as he feels this sport helps him to feel connected to himself and provides a much-needed outlet for relaxation and stress relief. Marcus’s motto in life? Actions guide our thoughts, and reflections correct our actions

Nico graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design and has a Professional License as a registered Interior designer from the Philippines He holds working experience with Design & Construction firms which honed his designing abilities. Joining Z L allowed him to create 3D elements and further imrpove his skills in interior design. He has a passion in creating beautiful spaces for clients to make their own space a safe haven from the complicated world we live in. In his free time, he plays a lot of video games, creates Digital artworks like Concepts Art and Character Design or just sleeps.

Nathalie Sanga is a graduate of the University of the Philippines DIliman with a Bachelor of Arts in Film. With a solid foundation in film and video production, she has honed her skills in various aspects of storytelling from conceptualization and planning to post-production. Her experience includes working on diverse projects that require a deep understanding of visual composition, narrative flow, and technical execution. Outside of work, Nathalie enjoys cooking and doing portrait and street photography.

Luke is the head of our team of craftsmen, and has a wealth of experience in wet works and tiling. Mosaic, marble, Craftstone… you name it, he’s done it. Add to that his skills in plumbing and electric works, this man with more than 20 years’ of experience is a treasure to Z L. Luke is also certified in Safety Practices and Working-At-Height.

Another of our wet works craftsmen, Liat has over 15 years’ of experience in wet works and tiling, especially in Craftstone, ceramic and homogenous tiles installation. Like Ming, he is also a Coretrade certified in Higher Skilled Wet Works Installation, Safety Practices and Hacking works for HDB.
